A well-maintained Ottomatic will perform best. Use the Chemex Automatic Coffeemaker Cleaner and follow the easy cleaning steps below to keep everything running optimally.

1) Fill the water tank with water and our CHEMEX cleaning solution to the 8 cup level.

2) Run the brew cycle to fully flush the cleaning solution through the brewer to clean and de-scale.

3) After cleaning/de-scaling, rinse the system by running a minimum of two brew cycles using only water. Allow for a 5–10-minute cool down period between cycles.

* We recommend descaling every 40 brew cycles or every 3 months whichever comes first.

* Failure to properly clean the Ottomatic can result in void of the warranty.
